Winter Satisfaction
As the days get gradually colder the excitement builds within us. The leaves quickly change colors and fall, however, the first fall of snow can’t arrive soon enough.
Going to sleep thinking of the humming of the snowmakers at night and the bright lights reflecting off the snow into the cloudy skies.
The click of the ski rack as new skis are pulled off the roof of the car.
The sound of new bindings clipping in for the first time.
The feeling of snow under freshly waxed bases.
The rough grab of the new rope on a pair of mittens from a previous season.
The catch of skis gliding on a waxed rail for the first time.
The sense of freedom that comes after dropping in.
The edges dig in when carving from left to right.
The cold chairlift on the bottom of thick snow pants.
The ride back up after the first run.
All things we are anxiously waiting for with the arrival of winter.
