When Love Sits on a Platter
When love sits on a platter
I serve my heart to you
The beating red
Of pouring veins
Spills out to cherish you
My arms held far
Locked elbows creak
I sway from side to side
Numbing lips
Blue fingertips
Show nothing I can hide
To what remorse
May you give?
What judgment
Will you serve?
As you touch
My living flesh
I get what I deserve
Within your palms
My fate does rest
Fears push up at my eyes
As in my chest
Wounds seep out yet
And never shall they dry
