There is nothing I can say
To take your hopelessness away
There is nothing I can do
That can change your will on cue
There's no passage in my books
That can fix your awkward looks
There is no lipstick or blush
That can win over your crush
I have nothing pure or clean
That can vanquish your obscene
There's no magic in the air
All I can tell you is "I care."

aww, that was sooo prettyy (: I've actually recently been trying to write a poem on this exact topic but i didn't know how to word it. your's is totally great! btw, i wrote my first attempt at a villanelle under your advice titled As Daytime Melts Into The Night.
