Black and White MAG
88mm negatives
on the swing set
of you and me.
It was always negative with the two of us,
swinging away the hours
on a little roll of black and white.
I always played victim
so you could have your dreary power trips
on the darkest corners of the roll.
They sit still on my cluttered desk,
undeveloped.
our brightest moments
encapsulated in the darkest container.
I'll leave them there,
so the contrast can never etch its way past my retinas,
to a heart that doesn't know how to forget you.
