Drip Drop
Rain dripping down a window almost like a race
Wonderful gloomy days
Staying in and listening to the rain as it drips from the clouds in an array
In unpatterned rhythm, yet making a sweet sound
Drip, drip, drop
Dancing in the rain with no music playing, just the sound of rain falling, forming puddles
The cold, refreshing droplets awaken the soul
In a second I run inside,
The rain comes in a mass from the gloomy, dark clouds that live in the sky above
Thundering and booming with hatred, ruining the sweet calm that came before
The speed of the rain falling becomes faster, the sound louder
Drip, drip, drop
The crack of lighting and the boom of thunder has come to an end
Keeping me awake in the dead of night
The storm quiets down at the brink of daylight
The calm after the storm is finally here and I can relax again
The raindrops from the gutters fall in an unrhythmic pattern
Drip, drip, drop
