Dangers of Salvaging

My buddy and I are salvaging a vessel in the void of space. BANG. Something from the docking port of our ship.
“Pirates!” he shouted before I even knew what it was.
He grabbed his gun but there were too many. They put him in an airlock. Moments later he was part of the salvage.
