The Tossing Night
The tossing night, a dream's pure charm
Stars awake, piercing the dark's alarm
Yet fog veils my eyes, a shroud's form
Midnight's moonlight, a translucent calm.
The fall from dreams feels like misty woods, I deem
Obscured and hazy, I behold my own dream
Suspended mid-air, a terrifying scheme
Below, an abyss, an endless stream.
Uncontrolled descent, a body's flight
To dream's chilling gap, devoid of light
Like rains sculpting wrinkles, taking flight
In Alice's wonderland, this curious plight.
Chasing the rabbit, heed its hurried beat
Floating in time, an unending fleet
Time stretches forth, a corridor replete
Departure looms, days we couldn't complete.
Always preparing for impending divide
Days spent together, ever in stride
Prepping for rhythms new, untied
In midsummer's cool touch, truths lied.
Gently fading, the cover over my eyes
Mocking the naive dreams, in soft disguise
Light cascades on the camellia's rise
Unfolding the winter within, a surprise.
At one in the morning, deep woods I confide
Mourning deeply, feelings coincide.
Candlelight flickers in the empty space
And I, day by day, chase the yesteryear's trace
Clouds part, I embrace
Continuing the dream's chase, seeking its grace.
