I am a ballerina.
I am a ballerina twirling across the floor;
I wonder what the audience is thinking;
I hear the soft music playing;
I see all the audience’s eyes on me;
I want them to remember my dance;
I am a ballerina twirling across the floor;
I pretend that no one is watching;
I feel the music pounding through me;
I touch nothing, knowing the rules;
I worry that I will mess up;
I cry, knowing m moment of fame is soon over;
I am a ballerina twirling across the floor;
I understand this is my chance to shine;
I say I want this more than anything, the truth;
I dream of dancing in front of millions;
I try to imagine it, like I have my whole life;
I hope the opportunity is mine to seize;
I am a ballerina twirling across the floor.
