Ghostly Emotion
I began to tap my foot rapidly,
arms crossed with eyes
opening and closing slowly like
a cuckoo popping out a clock.
My voice grew flat and
monotone, that sound you
use when tired. I nodded my
head, wished to be dead,
while listening to a man
talk about his cat, Bertha.
I wished to be sat, done with
this talk, or outside in the
sun, out on a walk. Not long
after, he left, and I sighed in
relief; finally peace.
