Dreams
I tell myself before bed every night
And every morning when I wake up
“It is going to happen, it is going to happen.”
It drifts through my mind every afternoon
And every evening
“My chance is coming, my chance is coming.”
I hope, I believe I can bring it to me, will bring it to me
But my doubt comes on so quickly, so easily
I am always left wondering: How can I be so hopeful yet so doubtful at the same time?
I remind myself of the bliss I feel when I feel like my dreams are within my reach
How natural it all seems when I picture my life the way it should be
What is meant for me.
So I continue to hope, continue to see
Just how far my dreams can take me.
