A Message of Summer
July 1, 2009
The sun’s rays rush in
The warm glow filling the room, filling my heart with joy
I watch as a gentle breeze rustles through the leaves of the lush, green trees
The velvet petals of the blush-colored flowers
Each petal, each leaf, communicates a message,
Words of wisdom among the plants
The flowers, the trees,
But also the squirrels and the bees,
Silently, I sit here and wonder exactly what is being said
Then I realize the message is obvious
Summer is here, it says.
