"True friends are never forgotten, they live within our hearts and souls...forever, and always, dancing on our stage of memories." - Shawn Mendes

It's only a matter of time

until you realize that your words and rhyme

have affect on others's lives

So take a deep dive down

Into everything you've said, maybe fill a head with.

Reflect, reflect, reflect.

Do you remember the gay boy you tripped?

The Christian woman who knit the sweater you so solely despised because she knit it? She did it.

Or do you choose to ignore who aborted what was possibly the only child she could ever carry?

Does her youth in your eyes fade?

Or does her so-called "imperfect" nose not fit her teenage face the way you want it to?

Reflect.

And yet, you discriminate.

You hate on what others could relate on and celebrate on

The face you see in the mirror never checks out the same anymore, does it?

Reflect, reflect, reflect.

Why do you hate?

Because love is far more great

It's pure, true, lives to its natural hue

And it'd be so beautiful on you.

Reflect, reflect, reflect.

I wrote this poem in my English class for a grade, but I fell in love with the powerful message I intended to convey with this. Hopefully someone finds the meaning of this poem as true as I do. :)
