The Challenge
I challenge you, my friends and my readers,
To a contest that anyone can win:
Be the next generation of leaders,
Speak loud and true over corruption’s din.
I challenge you, my cousins and classmates,
To a contest where you may succeed:
Show good in this world, go against the fates;
I know you can do it, I ask this deed.
I challenge you, my sisters and brothers,
To a contest, I expect no forfeits:
Do this, do a kind act for all others
Don’t gamble your chances: these are not bets.
But what can I do, you silently ask
The world needs you, simply pick a task.
