When love attacks
Love, what a crazy thing it can be
After leaving him I can finally see
No one should go through that
But right there is where I sat
My heart sitting in my hand
He took it and on it he would stand
My first love, he was all I saw
But the way he loved was against the law
Hitting is not what love is about
The more I cried the more he would shout
I finally left and found my strength
And now I can say I walked the length
Love is about compassion
But out he was lashin’
Life is odd
And everyday I just thank God
For getting me out of the heartache and pain
What a strain!
