Maybe this once.
Taste this new feeling.
The metallic taste
Of memories melting through cracks of a radio.
And inside your robotic chest
There's something warm beating.
Thoughts racing, tangled.
You brush them out with your fingers.
You swallow the vision of her eyes.
Sleep now, sleep another hour.
It's 5 oclock and the dreams are turning more and more real.
You smile, but you don't notice.
Your running through trees in your mind.
Fix another broken wing.
Someones out there
walking on a sidewalk,
While i'm swinging on a star, hoping
just this one time I'll do something right.
