Sonnet
Feigning thoughts of innocence,
Ignorant bliss overstayed,
Safety in no conscience
Causing all that is made to fade.
Nature set forth resolve,
Have us relinquish our clouded eyes.
Show us a sight to be appalled
Forcing upon us unmistakable ties.
Crying in our dissipating path
The sea of disaster hits hard.
Resonating a harsh, but true epitaph,
"They were too blinded to see all that was charred"
Earth, our home, let us hope for light
To awaken us all, from the false comfort of night
