While living in the city known as Chi-Town
I used to do a lot ofthings; I got around
But back in those days I'd hear a shot
I'dturn my head, my boy's body dropped
His body fell and hit the coldhard concrete
His mama ran out of the house and fell to hisfeet
She started to yell, "Oh, Lord, how could this be,
Iain't done nothin' to you so why you take him from me?"
This isjust another one of them days
A friend gets killed and has to goaway.
If you lived around my neighborhood
I'm sure youunderstood
Those of you who never got around
This ain't nothin'
