How to Beat Anorexia
Step one,
I will be strong.
This is quite a statement
Considering
My very frame feels weak
But I am built to live
I will be tough
Step two,
I will confess
This is fears essence
Taunting
I don’t know what will be thought
But I don’t like what I know
And now I will declare truth
Step three,
I will love
This is more then just acceptance
Approval
For my body is not the enemy
But my mind
I will find comfort in myself
Step four,
I will not hide
This is a disposal of concealing clothing
Unveiled
I am scared of stares
But it is time
I will no longer cover
Step five,
I will eat
Paramount difficulty
Possible
Food is a dead weight
But I can still manage
I will live
I will wage this war in my own body
This time not a fight against myself
But a fight to save my life
