Remind Me Of Who I Am
Remind me of who I am
Am I the little angel who never moved a muscle?
The perfect student who all teachers want to clone?
The child awarded & recognized for her intelligence?
The almost robotic listener who listens to every detail?
Am I the still the “smart” girl?
Remind me of who I am
Now tell me if I’m the girl who still listens,
But has a tendency to move a few muscles now and then?
The student who talks but still gets her work done?
The child who never gets recognized for her great efforts?
The girl who’s still intelligent?
Or am I just another “failure in the making”?
Remind me of who I am.
