Mommy, Daddy
Look at me,
Just look at me,
Look at what you've done to me

Daddy
Used to tell me
I was a
Princess

Mommy
Used to say
I would find my prince
Someday

You have corrupted my mind
Don't you see?

Daddy
Used to tell me he
Loved me
And so did
Mommy

But just
Look at me
Now

I lay here
In the cold damp
Earth

Do you love me now?

My breathing gone
My heart torn out
My cold dead body
Laying in the depths
Of the ground

I thought so!

Mommy, Daddy
Just
Look at me
Now

Can't you see what you did
To me?

This poem makes me actually feel the connection to the writer and their predicament. It reminds me of the tragedy that Romeo and Juliette had to endure. This person has been through allot, even when everyone gave up; they kept fighting. This poem is so deep that the intensity is so pure. I wish to hear more from this poet.

This is a brave and inspiring poem that really hits home with the everyday issues that we just pass as normal. It says that there is hope, but we don't see it becouse were to busy paying attention to the little things and not noticing the big things. this is a true peice of art.

I think that this poem really brings out the issues that are real and are happening right infront of us today.

This a true peice of work that makes people open there eyes to what is really going on around them, and think what they can d to change it all.

This is real art.

At first I wondered to myself, what have you lost? Faith in parents that can only raise you as best as they know how? Are you feeling that you were lied to, Santa does not exist, you have not yet met your Prince? I can honestly say that your poem has made me sincerley realise the pressures of teens in today's era. We raise our children as best as we know how to and hope to shelter them from harm all their lives. In today's sick society of increasing child abuse I did, upon first reading your poem feel it was reflective of that. Your peom is NOT disturbing , but to my mind enlightening. Tonight I am going to sit with my children , no TV and no distractions we are going to do what all parents should do, communicate with each other.

Congratulations on a very soul searching piece of work. I look forward to reading more from this taleneted author.
