The Hit
Breathe in another camel and let your self sway
Listen to the music as the hit drags you away
The parents think your kidding as you tell them you don't care
But inside your really hurting you just don't know how to share
Until you fall inside yourself until there's nothing there
And when your parents finally get the nerve all they do is stare
This used to be the baby that climbed into our bed
Cried herself silly if ever she bummed our head
Now she's lost in darkness and follows the wrong light
Her parents know there's something wrong but they just don't want to fight
As she moves closer to the hot side the devil draws her in
But she lights up just one more time, but this time she cant swim
She falls down to the carpet amist her other friends
But no one sees she's hurting because they all just pretend
Pretend to have it right as they breathe one more last breathe
No one knows they're hurting, no one knows there's nothing left
As her eyes roll backwards the shining lights all turn to a rusty black
Her parents break down sobbing they know they'll never get her back
