Where did she go?
Confused and all alone,
She doesn't fit in, she's one of a kind
Some find her weird, others don't know her
She just needs that extra push, and her shell will break
But, she's not like them
She's too mature for them,
Constantly made fun of, insecure, but not stupid
She knows how to play along, she knows all the lines to the script
But no one gave her a chance, she was never welcomed,
Then she disappeared forever
All it took was a blade and the guts
She was strong, but not that strong
She couldn't take it anymore,
No one at her funeral, except her mother
It wasn't necessary for her to go,
But not smart for her to stay
You can say her classmates robbed her of her life
Took away her chance of being normal
They took it too far
But where were the teachers when this happened,
Why didn't they stop the classmates
They knew how this would end, but it didn't bother them,
Just because she would be a waste of time,
She wasn't important to them, she was just Jenny

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this piece is that I witness kids being made fun of, pushed around, and bullied everyday. The popular think of it being funny, they need to impress their friends somehow, but they take it too far. They don't understand that some people aren't as strong as others. It's not okay to make fun of someone, you don't know what's going on inside their heads. What bothers me is the teachers just watch, they don't do anything about it.

This is a very good piece. You are so right about the teachers in most cases not doing or saying anything. It really brings to light the problem happening all over the world.

This is very inspirational. I used to be one of those kids that was always picked on but know that I'm in high school it doesn't bother me anymore. Ithink you're going to be a great poet some day. Keep up the good work! Come check out my page and please leave comments.
