I Am Your Only Friend MAG
I am you, and you are me.
I walk with you wherever you go;
I played with you in childhood,
And work with you in adulthood;
I see what you see,
But I see it clearer;
I hear what you hear,
But I hear it louder;
I feel what you feel,
But I feel it deeper.
When you were a child you would heed my counsel,
But as you've grown you've drifted away from me.
Yet every day you creep closer to me;
True friends shall be reunited on the other side;
What you fear most will bring you home to me.
But first the years will teach you
That anyone can laugh with you,
But only I will cry with you:
I am your only friend.
