Blue Buttons
so so so
the blue buttons on my new dress
have fallen
in the river below
i see silver scaled fish
with blue buttons
for eyes
looking up at me
from the white bubbles
swirling above algae covered rocks
down down down
below me
on a ledge
above a hill of white washed stones
my brother stands
beside the daisy my cat pushed up years ago
she liked daisies
and bubbles
and fish
and blue buttons
she liked me
she loved my brother.
