But All I Saw Were Rocks MAG
But all I saw were rocks
One student told of autumn color's brightly painting
the mighty trees' leaves.
She told of how the trail seemed to be a Picasso
painted by Mother Nature.
But all I saw were rocks.
Another student declared the sky was as blue as a
robin's egg,
And that not a cloud, good or bad could be seen.
But all I saw were rocks.
My friend wrote of the wild animals who inhabited the
area,
And how they scampered across the trails.
But all I saw were rocks.
Then my geology teacher asked who had seen the broken,
eroded pieces of the mountain.
Silence filled the air and no one spoke,
But I smiled and said, "I saw all the rocks."
