An Interpreation of Love
In a long, painful day I find my solitude in a thing called Love
Love puts a smile on my face
Fills me up like a hearty meal
Thinking of him makes me feel complete
Some doubt my capacity for Love
Say I am too young, inexperienced
But I Love and I understand
No fool am I to rush in
No fool am I to overwhelm myself
Love takes patience
And while I wait, I let Love fill me up to the brim
I let Love take me places I’ve never been
Feel things I’ve never felt
Love can often dance away
But it outlasts time and space
So I know it is never truly gone
Love will be my dance partner for a very long time
I cannot understand Love, not fully
But what human can?
Love, a tricky dancer tricky dancer who never comes too close
Love I am always chasing because I am off-beat
Love is just close enough for me to get a taste
A savory, delightful taste
That causes completeness and butterflies
That causes everything to appear with beautiful clarity
That puts a smile on my face as I fall asleep
