Broken Fences MAG
The clouds are grey with gloom,
the world emits a feeling of doom
a shaft of light breaks through.
In the heavenly light from above
slowly spirals a single white dove
descending ever downward towards the dew.
The light describes a field of flowering daisies,
a silent ballet of colors is painted into sight
as thousands of butterflies lift off into flight.
To one side lay an ancient wooden rail,
broken beamed, its purpose long forgotten:
Atop the rail a small brown rabbit sits
with flopping ears and tail of soft white cotton.
This pulchritudinous scene assaults my senses
as I begin to see the beauty, of life and broken fences.
