A Christmas Tale
Carl woke up one morning,
With a look on his face,
He scanned outside his house,
Making sure nothing was out of place.
He had never beleived in Christmas,
And never thought he would,
But something happened that morning,
That would give him a chance that he could.
He went off to work, like he thought he should.
He truged through the snow with out a passing glance,
At all the carolers who sang aloud,
Inviting each other to dance.
With a grim look on his face he came to his office,
When he saw a small girl with no place to stay.
Carl asked where her parents where
And she looked up and said "far far away."
She slowly got up and handed him something wrapped.
He tried not to accept it, seeing her home was the floor.
She smiled and said "I seem to be having a better day then you"
He looked at the presant, and glanced back but the girl was there no more.
"A girl with no parents,
Was happy then me, who had it all."
He thought, as he opened the presant.
Which turned out to have nothing at all.
He was confused and searched throught the wrap.
Thinking of what a scam it had been.
Then he kept thinking more and more,
And realized this was the greatest gift he has gotten.
This reminded him the meaning of Christmas.
The girl gave all she had.
That day made all of Carl's Christmas's
no longer sad
