Ode to Breakfast
Oh dear Breakfast,
How you call to me when I wake,
You scream to me with your smells
Cinnamon, maple, oranges, hazelnut,
How you greet me as I approach,
And welcome me with open arms,
And you perk me up and get me through my morning,
And for those days that I skip you,
And ignore your delightful sounds and smells,
I spend my day thinking of you,
Hoping you will forgive me,
For nothing can compare to you dear Breakfast,
Not Lunch nor Dinner,
And snacks tremble at the sound of your name,
For you Breakfast are one of a kind.
