Let it dwell
Let darkness dwell within my veins
Where nothing else but apathy remains
With the darkest air and the light slain
So then at least I have something to gain
Something besides this emptiness
Something besides these apathetic crests
So I say let it dwell within my mind
Where it will be for eternal time
And as I fade to nothing more
Remember me not of my sad lores
But instead of the prideful, strong willed man I used to be
The man who lived by the creed
But never can I live again
Without the love that could truly mend
Any wound and any scar
And now her love has gone afar
Never live can this heart
When she is so far apart
So let darkness dwell within my veins
Where nothing else but emptiness remains
