I look at me

To understand
Your mind and
What makes you what

The gates that guard
Your heart
I want to be
What makes you free
What makes you grin;
I know I’m in
A little deep
I want to keep
I want to own
Those things you know
But I can’t help
This burning self-
Ishness that makes
Me want to take
What’s yours and isn’t mine
