One by one,
Thats what they had repeated.
Those perfunctory words,
They stuck for a second,
Then glided away with the invisible air,
Spreading wings then flying away,
Never to be thought of again.

Now covered by a gray cloud,
One that wouldnt recead.

Memories of love, sorrow, and joy,
People who I would leave behind,
The warm ocean air and the cool water,
One that would soothe your feet after the burning sand,
All of that would be gone.
Step by step,
