Sonnet for Restoration
Sonnet for Restoration
Consider things to be as they were
All is restored to its proper station
No longer is life uncertain, unsure
No more a thing of imagination
I’ve rediscovered the rhythm of life
It’s certainly not as bad as I thought
I no longer struggle through pain and strife
I now know the peace for which I have sought
The past shall now be just within the past
And never again shall it be spoke of
One can only hope that this state will last
This state that is simply peace, hope, and love
And so as this account draws to a close
I thank you the time to this you did lend
