The Titanic's Sun Song
He won every time
I could never beat the sunshine.
I flew across the water fast
But he always had the better time.
The the sun warmed my metal,
As we always tried to settle,
Who was faster him or me,
But the sun always had a gentle victory.
The sun was once my friend,
But now he never sends,
A single ray to greet my rusting mast,
I wish the last encounter,
Hadn't been our last.
