Goodbye
farewell doesn’t mean forever,
it doesn’t mean irreconcilable differences
it just means, separate ways,
for now.
it means giving up,
not pushing away,
it means one last chance,
then no chances left.
the end of an era,
doesn’t mean the end of a life,
but it still means the end,
everything that happened,
still happened, still matters,
just in the past.
nothing happens now,
its just one day after another,
and sometime,
there is a time to
move on.
just a time to pack up and
go home.
to admit defeat,
to cut your losses,
and leave.
when that time comes,
its not sad, or angry,
its just the end.
it is simply,
goodbye.
