Silence is Killing Me
Silence is golden,
That is what they say,
But it isn't you know,
Not in any way.
Twas silence, you know, that killed me,
It tore me up, from the inside out,
And trust me, the reason was she.
I knew I had to speak,
but that stare, it made me ever so weak.
I tried and I tried, but my mouth was shut,
A silence so thick, any knife would cut.
And so now I sit blabbing around,
to people who wanted me silent,
of the time when I couldn't blurt a sound.
