Gems of the Sky
Up above, there's a place ever so vast.
At first glance: Nothing there appears to be.
As far as I can see, darkness is cast.
I look closer. Oh! The things I can see!
Luminous spheres of light scattered about,
as if precious gems on knights' blackened mail.
Red, white, blue of course, but yellow? I doubt.
It is the only the color of tall tale.
Below these things so enormous and bright,
I can't help, but feel unbearably small.
I wish to be great with all my might,
but if I get that high, won't I just fall?
"Live life to the fullest!" they all do say,
but what if things do not turn out okay?
