I Am Me
Who am I?
I'm not a black guy,
and I don't have slanted Asian eyes.
And I'm definitely no communist spy.
I am me.
I am but a lonesome tree.
I stand tall, true, and free,
only letting the enlightened inspire me.
I walk a lonely path,
that few could ever truly grasp.
I never dwell upon the past,
cause if I dwelled I would never last.
I do my own thing,
never letting others see my feelings.
Because if I did they would see me reeling,
and sometimes even fleeing.
I believe it is better this way,
it lets me go about my day to day,
slowly letting time slip away.
Who am I?
I am me.
