Wuthering Heights
The mist again grew thick, through the groves that once saw light
Upon the curving hills, throughout the place called Wuthering Heights
Silence clung to curtains of homes where dust grew thick
And Haunted were the owners of ghost that they had picked
And yearning did their hearts bare through nightless withered days
Forsaken all their joyful drums in the graves where loved one lay
And loved did both the owners but a passion burned more bright
Of the owner who sits still haunted in the halls of Wuthering Heights
A love for both the same, but forever lost is she
Besides in hearts of those she knew, the hearts oh him and he
And the fire that shallowly burned was kindled by the sky
The loved that he had earned was lost when she had died
Murdered was the other in the woes he felt that night
Gazing at her lifeless, the princess of Wuthering Heights
THe sorrows rooted deeply in the soul that both they shared
And lost was he forever in the guilt that he would bare
Deeper was the the agony set upon his brow
Shallow would he live, not even knowing how
And thunder clashed upon the wrenching sight
As the owner sat their weeping on a hill of Wuthering Heights
At all the time he'd waisted seeking his revenge
Instead of being happy, instead of making amends
And love forever chokes him with the flame that once she lit
Deep within the hollows of a heart that he had hid
And some say that he's tortured forever by his plight
Of a love scarcely spoken, that ended Wuthering Heights
