Patience
sixty seconds to the sixty minutes
to the 24 hours a day
my patience is running out
before you come and make it okay
the sun moves so slowly
my nights and dreams last so long
waiting for the sound, your voice
my perfect little song
each single breath
that I always almost hate to take
will bring me closer
to you being there when I wake
keeping patience to wait
for you to be with me
is just like a deer hearing a noise
and not wanting to flee
I'm trying to stay calm
and always trying to make you proud
I feel like the ecstatic lightening
flowing through a thundercloud
I love you so much
and I know you love me too
but I can't wait until the day
I will be with you
