Foolish Boy
Ever since I saw you,
I started to feel a connection between us.
Those bright blue-green eyes,
dug right into my own eyes.
That light blonde hair,
made it hard to resist you.
The more we hung out,
the closer we got.
After a while,
we became friends.
You loved to make me laugh,
and I loved being with you.
Then you began going out with her,
by force.
You foolish boy.
You still try to flirt with me,
I try not to let you,
but it’s hard.
After all we did have something going.
Now we are getting farther and farther apart,
because you gave into her.
Why did you let her annoy you?
Until, before you knew it,
you were a couple.
You foolish boy.
All I want is our friendship back,
nothing more.
Right now,
I feel as though you don’t want to be with me,
at all,
not even as friends.
If you don’t stop this foolishness,
I don’t want anything to do with you.
My heart feels like you stabbed it.
I know her and she isn’t right for you.
Before you know it,
she will be breaking your heart.
I tried to warn you,
but you didn’t listen.
You foolish boy.
