Every Snow Fall
Every snow-fall I picture you.
It was that mid-January day when we fell for eachother.
We were both smack in the middle of a blizzard,
But that couldn’t stop two hearts from colliding.
This was no above ground plan,
But rather love at first sight.
As the snow fell,
So did our love.
Inch by inch, hour by hour, we gradually drifted into warmth and sunshine.
We were to be up and running,
And any official could judge that.
But when you took off that day,
You didn’t see the plow, and it was a state of emergency.
Now I sit here,
Nestled in the cold, looking at you, the only way I can,
Watching, as each flake falls, each a different memory.
Now I sit here,
Anticipating the next snow-fall.
