Dreams
I lie in bed...
dreaming of monsters.
They are green and
have bright red eyes,
like a christmas tree light.
I wake up, scared to death.
I hear a noise and soon
the blankets are over my eyes,
like a puppy hiding from a storm.
I visualize the monster under my bed
more and more.
Running, running to mom’s room for comfort.
I think dreams could become real.
Mom tells me dreams are fake.
She helps me.
And soon, I’m sleeping again.
