Gone Forever
We got a phone call from my Aunt one day
to tell us my Grandmas was unhealthy
We thought that nothing would stand in her way
Time soon would come for peoples sympathy
First thing early that morning the phone rang
It was the Doc telling us the bad word
She has stomach cancer-said Dr. Lang
Tears were rushing down as each of us heard
While in the hospital for one straight week
My whole family spent each day with her
Everyone there as she got truly sick
She looked right at us with a look of blur
Time winds down like the ending of a poem
Now saying our goodbyes God took her home
