When kids do their homework
and wives are faithful to their husbands.
When men go home after work instead of to a bar.
When grandparents don’t die
and mothers don’t have abortions.
When 3rd graders don’t swear
and 12th graders go to college.
When adults only remember
their grandparents describing
their grandparents making bombs,
and living in the sewer with the rats.
When kids go outside
instead of playing video games
and teens don’t look at porn
or go to school in just their underclothes
or with a gun.
