How Fall Feels
I can feel the softness
Running through my hair
Like the peacefulness of fall
Is coming
The leaves,
Falling on the ground.
Only the scent of joy in the air.
I can feel the happiness of people getting ready
For the new season to come
Children getting ready for a new school year.
Apples getting ready to be picked.
The leaves,
Falling on the ground.
The beauty of fall in people’s hearts
I can feel the calmness of the trees,
Enjoying the time that they have,
Before the harsh winter snow comes,
And they suffer in the cold.
The leaves,
Falling on the ground
The winds of calm, coming and going
The beginning of the end,
Coming once a year
Joyously and peacefully
Arriving on the earth
The leaves
Falling on the ground
You, following them into the fall.
