sitting in the darkness
waiting for the moon to rise
I realized how much I miss you
and suddenly I start to cry
I know you're watching over me
remember how you told me
you'd always be here by my side
those long ago thoughts have been put down to rest, and I suddenly can't bear this loss
Over me you're flying high
soaring through the sky
suddenly I look above
and see you watching over me
I stand my ground and see it's not as bad as it could be
you'll still be here in my heart
and with the Lord above
