Don't be a victim; be a titan.

In all my dreams,
I’ve seen many worlds,
But never quite like this.
With its mindless fools,
Following the flow
Ignorantly like poisoned fish.
Without thoughts of their own,
And nine to five lives,
It’s all been planned out ahead.
You’re born, you age,
You get married, have kids;
Next thing you know: you’re dead.
The time just flies!
They notice but disregard.
Because they’re always tomorrow, right?
But time is not a promise;
It can’t be trusted
This is not how you should be living life.
I walk through crowds and stifle yawns:
All the same, one by one.
Brushing up against they’re fleecy wool dreams.
The artist, the poet,
The dreamer, the architect,
They all know what I mean.
So take my subtle hint and turn the tables
Follow after ambitions as fast as you can
Become the shepherd, not the sheep.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting.

I'm glad you liked it :)

And yes...people really need to learn not to follow, but to lead.

Thanks again <3

"Live your art" -made this one up myself. Simple, but true.

This was good. I liked the last line "Become a shepherd, not the sheep." There are so many sheep but there is only one shepherd who guides them. This was great. I give 5 stars*****.
