Sometimes i wish...
Sometimes I wish I were in a better world,
Sometimes I wish I were in a safer place curled.
Whenever I hear about those senseless attacks,
In my heart there are new cracks.
All these worldly ways of fighting,
Are surely beyond my understanding.
Brother fights brother, child kills mother,
Is there really none to bother?
I am of a higher caste, you have a darker face,
Can we still be fighting on race?
Sometimes I wish I were in a better world,
Sometimes I wish I were in a safer place curled.
Life is uncertain, death is certain
Sure, but to drop a curtain
On others’ lives cannot be right,
On those crimes who will throw light?
I hear of kidnapping, I hear of corruption,
Is there really a need for so much disruption?
I don’t know if my dear ones are secure,
For how long will I live in a false lure?
Sometimes I wish I were in a safer world
For the sake of my dear ones in a better world.
Sometimes I wish I were in a safer place curled
In a place where forever was happiness unfurled...
