The Butterfly Effect
Eyes swollen read
From the salty tears that left her eyes
Not too long ago
And her nose, as red as Rudolphs',
Due to the tissues that now cover the floor,
Is like a faucet with no handle,
To turn it off.
All because of a fight with her mother.
Her father, gone.
Her brother, sometimes there.
But her mother, the one person she truly holds onto,
Changed.
Not like the mother she once was when the family was complete
But still, better than her father, who doesn't even try to speak
She promised herself she would not cry
It was a promise not meant to be broken
But impossible to be kept
Who knows what will end up of her
Now it's all down to the butterfly effect
